    Hey everyone, I’m planning to install a new toilet and need some guidance. I have the toilet, a wax ring, and some basic tools, but I want to make sure I do it correctly.

    What are the key steps I should follow? Should I use a wax ring or a rubber seal? Also, any tips to prevent leaks and common mistakes?

    I’d really appreciate any advice from those who have done this before. Thanks in advance!

    Hi, a wax ring makes me think that you're not based in Ireland as we mainly use rubber rings to create the seal.

    Any photos of the toilet and existing piping to start us off?
