    Hi all,

Just wondering does anyone here have any experience of using any of the Irish investing company MyWallSt products i.e. Invest+, Horizon, Nexus and if so how did you find it. Was it worth the outlay.

I listen to their weekly podcast and find it quite good. It is fairly broad in terms of subject matter from week to week but I find it insightful in how they decide what stocks to invest in or in their discussions about various industries and sectors. In fairness, they don't use it to do a hard sell on their products very often. Michael O’Mahony, one of their financial analysts, hosts it and ususally joined by Emmett Savage (MyWallSt founder) for discussion. The banter is generally very good.

They are currently launching a new product Prophet at https://www.useprophet.com/ with a three month free trail.

I'd be curious to hear any thoughts or insights on anything MyWallSt.

I followed MyWallSt when they first launched and was initially intrigued by their approach. They made investing more accessible, particularly for novice investors, and their content was engaging. However, over time, I found that the depth and originality of their research didn’t quite measure up to other newsletters and research services out there.

Their team went through some major changes after the 2021 bear market, with key analysts and their original podcast host leaving. Since then, the quality of their analysis appears to have declined, and from what I’ve seen, their stock recommendations don’t offer much depth beyond surface-level insights.

Their newer products, like Prophet, seem like a significant shift from their original philosophy, which makes me question the overall direction of the company. There’s also been feedback from former Horizon subscribers suggesting that their portfolio struggled post-COVID, missing out on some of the big winners in the past couple of years.

If someone is just starting out and looking for broad, high-level insights, it might still be a useful resource. But for those seeking deeper analysis or differentiated stock ideas, there are stronger alternatives.

I've listened to the podcast for a couple of years and enjoy the ramblings but what I don't get is if Emmet is such a successful investor why is he constantly trying to flog his pricey investment products to Joe public via the podcast?

I was a subscriber in their previous model (€70/annum) and really liked it, new stock pick every month, library of stocks to read up on, but can't justify the extra outlay with their new model.

I reckon it's more aimed at the US market, were people tend to actively manage their pension, where an outlay of €700/€800 gets more diluted. If you're just DCA'ing in a €100 a month, it's too much of an outlay.

Feels like they had some great picks at one point, picking the big tech companies, but the pressure of having to find a new stock every month diluted it down a bit too much. Still like the podcast for unnearthing a few gems that I wouldn't hear of otherwise - opened a position last year in Lifco AB which I wouldn't have otherwise
