Lost provisional - test on wednesday

Hi all,

Absolutely bricking it. Lost my wallet which has my provisional in it. Searched absolutely everywhere and no sign. My test is on Wednesday so I don’t have time to get a replacement. Does anyone know if I can still do the test, or if I can do it with some other proof?

Unless you get your learners permit back before the test, you might as well stay in bed.

They won't take you out unless you have it with you.

Try and reschedule the test, if you still can.

(Claim that you've tested positive for COVID)

no need the permit. no chance they’ll let you do without it on your person I’m afraid. Always leave mine in the car for this reason- keep searching hopefully you find it!

You used to be able to get a licence replaced at very short notice if you walked in with the right documents but that was before the NDLS.

Exactly, I don't get why the ndls centers can't print your license then and there.

Interestingly the never went back to walk in service after COVID, it's appointment only now

they do that in the states don’t they? I’m sure also elsewhere. I’d say there’s a reason they can’t but it would be handy.

They did it here too before the ndls, you got your license over the couter
