42" TV as a Monitor

Folks anyone here using a 42" OLED as a monitor?

I'm doing up the office in a few weeks time and will be putting a day bed into the office so toying with the idea of putting a 42" LG C4 on the wall to use for films and "couch gaming".

The plan would be to wall mount the TV at a perfect height for sitting at my desk and I'd be sitting about 60/65 cm from the screen when at the desk.

I currently have two LG 1440p monitors.

Yes

An e-star 43 inch. blacks out for a couple of seconds once every hour on average but on Game Settings, its okay. Using it to type this now. For comparison I have a Dell 32 inch gaming monitor which cost more. But this e star is fine.

The PC audio goes through the HDMI and I've an EDIFIER subwoofer and 2 sateillite speakers connected to the TV 3.5 mm jack.

And how do you find the size? If gaming at your desk would you play full screen or use a borderless window?

Using a c4 42 myself, love it, sit around 2.5 - 3 foot back while using it as a desktop monitor and then a little more if I'm using a controller.

The C4 is a 120hz 4K screen. True blacks as well so really good picture quality.

Any photos of your set up? Any annoyances with it? I joke the TV won't start up when you turn on the PC but that's not a major issue for me.

C4 is 144hz so no issues with speed, also free sync and gsync compatible. The monitor starting with the PC can be setup as far as I know I just have never been bothered enough to do it 🤣 I'll try to get a few pictures later 👌

C4 arrived this morning but it'll be a few weeks before I can set it up as I need to paint the office and get a wardrobe built in as well.

Can anyone tell me if I need a "special" HDMI lead to run 4K 120 from my PC?

Got the room painted, peg board installed, desk built and TV mounted. I know the TV isn't centred on the desk but I was actually sitting on a sofa bed taking the picture and that's what I've lined the TV off.

I'm waiting on a white Alex drawer that I'm thinking of putting the PC into but not fully set on the idea yet.

looks great. I have 2 x 24” monitors on my rising desk. After seeing this picture I might get both monitors mounted and free up desk space.

I went from 2x 27 inch 144hz 1440 IPS monitors to the 42 inch120hz 4K LG C4. It'll take some time to get used to the size but I like it so far.

Yea, just drag to the side of the screen to have them snap into place.

I also use a 42 inch OLED C2 as my monitor and have done so for two years now. It's a great size for a monitor and cannot see me going back to anything smaller in the future.
