Identify RAM type

I've a HP 290 G1MT business pc with currently 4gb's of RAM. I want to put in another 4gb stick and they're a slightly different shape and don't fit.

The one I want to match to is the middle one, you can see that the slot is in a different place to the other two and the edge with the contacts isn't straight but slightly bevelled. Googling the printed codes on it leaves me none the wiser.

How do I identify what RAM sticks should to be asking for?

If you Google the HP part number on the righthand sticker in the middle photo - 855845-971 you will get lots of hits.

It's DDR4 2400 Mhz memory.

I'd also visit the HP support website and give it the machine's serial number, that is usually the best way to get the definitive answer.

For completeness the other two look to be DDR3, hence they don't and shouldn't fit.

Agree that you'd be better off buying new. Better chance of an exchange if they're faulty.
