2nd TV in the house is a TCL. It's incredible muck of a TV.

Got to thinking that that an Nvidia shield might be a road I'd go down. Would it make any sense to pair it with a 32" monitor and ditch the TV? How much would I have to spend on a decent monitor to stream the likes of Netflix etc? I suppose I'd need speakers too? Anyone here with a setup like I'm describing and how much would it set me back? Thanks

I have an android box hooked to it at the moment. The Android box is a MeCool MK2 I think. It's fine. Does the job, mostly. But the TV is the issue. It's bottom of the range really. Cost 200 odd quid. Picture quality poor. Delays when responding to remote control press. There's a lot that's not great about it.

Our main TV is a Sony Bravia. About a year old. I don't know exact model number. It's plenty good for us. I suppose my question should have been could I get an Nvidia Shield Pro and a monitor set up for much cheaper than the cost of, say, a 32" Bravia or equivalent.

a 32 inch bravia and a 32 inch monitor are similar in price. The bravia is android based well the ones ive quickly googled. Maybe performance of shield to monitor might be better but if its just for streaming i say get the bravia 32 inch.
