Council housing

So I need some advice from those who know better, basically I've been on the housing list since 2015, that's 10 years .. I once had medical priority due to having schizophrenia but they seem to have taken me off it and now say I'm not eligible, I dunno what the story is, apparently I'm not disabled enough.

So I had a meetings with them last august and the guy told me that he isn't recommending me to get a place of my own because he doesn't think I can take care of myself, which I can, so he's recommending me to housing first so that someone can check up on me and make sure I don't ... Die of starvation or forget to mop the floor or something, I dunno.

Was just wondering if any one knows if there's anything I can do about this? He said if housing first don't accept me hes recommending supported long term accomodations, which is like a hostel you just possibly never leave, I've already been in the same hostel for the last 6 years and honestly I'm fed up, just want some peace and quiet, not getting hassled by staff every few days questioning me about "how I'm doing" like I'm some sort of victim.. just want some privacy at this stage, anyone know if anything can be done about this ?
