Moving to a digital weighing scales (for baking and cooking)

I broke my old-fashioned but very reliable Salter weighing scales - and am wondering if I'll move on to a digital version. My worry is that I don't have enough room in presses for the scales to sit alone and undisturbed - it would either be on top of a stack of regularly-used plates, or under them (not a good idea), or on its side at the edge of the press. Are any of these options a runner?

    On its side. Perfect.

They’re usually thin. Store it in its dude in a drawer or wherever. I do find sometimes the battery door can come loose or fall off but it’s rare.

As above, store it flat or on its side anywhere you like. Even as a thin book on a bookshelf.

Then use any type of bowl to put stuff into - you can set it to zero when the empty bowl is on it.

    I'd recommend getting a dual scales -

    Amazon.co.uk : dual scales

we have this one for the last 8 years or so but it's discontinued…really handy, particularly for very small weightings…stored on it's side in a cupboard

Interesting - hadn't seen one like that previously.

Oh yes, good call @ablelocks. I have an Ooni version which is overpriced but get any good value one you can find. Great for those tablespoon measurements and yeast etc.
