I am reminded of a song...

The amount of skeletons keeping being found in AGS closet rather belies the whole "a few bad apples in every organisation"…

Never forget, the end goal is zero firearms of any type.

S.I. No. 187/1972 - Firearms (Temporary Custody) Order - Firearms seized

S.I. No. 21/2008 - Firearms (Restricted Firearms and Ammunition) Order 2008 - Firearm types restricted

Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 - Firearms banned & grandfathered

S.I. No. 420/2019 - Magazine ban, ammo storage & transport restricted

Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2023 - 2023 Firearm Ban (retroactive to 8 years prior)

Another one to add to the looong list of AGS mishaps and foolery with firearms…From ARU instructors shooting themselves in the foot literally,to the ERU shooting one of their own in a friendly fire incident in a bank raid,to securely storing your duty pistol under your bed pillow, and having it stolen in a burglary,to…Oh lets not go there!!! There is just too many examples of things that would get you in so much trouble as a "Mere civilian" and get your liscenses revoked ,to them having any sort of moral authorithy to lecture us anymore about the dangers of civillian ownership of firearms.

More news about the stored firearms at Garda Headquarters:

The audio of the full Pat Kenny interview is in the linked page.

    Shambolic nonsense, as usual.

It looks like the major threat to public saftey with firearms in Ireland are aGS themselves after listening to that absolute train wreck with a plane crash on top of it.

They have absolutely have now NO,none, not a hope moral arguement to lecture us about private firearms being a"public saftey"issue, when they are being utterly fast and loose and giving the term "lassiez faire" new meaning when it comes to firearms in Garda custody or possesion.

Seems we would be better off asking in future if a liscense is refused, would they have any special offers out the back door of the station for their retirement fund? This would be pure comedy gold on a Fr Ted level if it wasn't so deadly serious.

It's fairly difficult to be anything other than sceptical about the AGS and their level of training and proficiency with firearms. After the debacle in Athy in the '90's, the PDF members referred to the ERU …as every round used! 😂😂
