Can a claim be rejected or policy cancelled without notice with telematics insurance

    Hello,
My daughter is learning to drive and is about to purchase a small car. Telematics (black box) insurance comes far cheaper than regular insurance (AIG or itsforwomen in particular) and all the info they have on their site about the system is positive, basically they are saying it is mostly about making her a better driver.
However, I doubt there is no small prints somewhere I have not seen yet, I h.
Does someone know if the insurance can cancel the policy without notice or would they give warning and for what kind of reasons if they were to cancel the policy.
Even more importantly, can they refuse to pay a claim if the data collected shows something wrong, for instance she could be over the speed limit at the time of an accident etc
    many thanks

All insurers can cancel any motor policy by giving notice by registered post. The period of notice varies between 10 and 14 days and will be contained in the policy document. No reason has to be given

If there is a breach of policy conditions (which can be proven), insurers can repudiate a claim for damage to the insured vehicle, but not an innocent 3rd party.

Basically, the actions any insurer can take with regard to cancellation or repudiating a claim are contained in the policy document and each insurer is different
