    It says I have 39 posts, then under that says I have 34 posts. How many posts have I?

    That's an oddity from how Vanilla views things versus how the previous vbulletin platform sees things.

    Vanilla considers the post to start a thread a different thing from a post responding to a thread, calling those comments. So you have 34 comments as responses, and 6 posts that start threads, for a total of 40.
