So today was the 'event' and its up on apple.ie, the successor to the iPhone SE 3rd generation now called iPhone 16e. The so-called 'low-cost' model.

SE model is my weapon of choice 'cos I don't really play games or do video editing or whatever the young people of today do on their phones which requires so much CPU power and camera/screen resolution. Whatever, speculations have been rife before today and almost every site agreed that surely Apple will stay below $500 at least for the 128GB version. Ha!

Just had a quick look and it actually starts at €729 for 128GB and then goes to €859 for 256GB. Sounds like a whinge but I'm just saying it caught my eye but not for that sort of money. Not even remotely. Might grab one for half that in a year on Amazon but the bones of a grand for a 'low-cost' iPhone is taking the piss IMO.

Anyone think they may be tempted at those prices?
