Renewal of learner permit

Hi all,

My youngest sister has a learner permit and it's going to expire in 3 and half months.

When does she need to apply for renewal?

She won't sit the test because she doesn't have time until August for that.

The NDLS website has this information.

Was the first site when I googled "renew Irish learners permit".

If it's 3rd or more renewal, proof of failed test required.

If applying for a third or subsequent learner permit, you must have taken and failed a driving test in the previous two years or have made an application for a driving test.

When does she need to apply, today, in a one month or just a several days before it expires?
