hi hope this is correct section I’m new here

if I defaulted on a loan years ago and a debt judgment was got against me.

Besides interest and costs, would the amount owed change because of inflation?

Example would a 1k debt be worth example 1.2k with inflation and would the interest accrue on that instead of original 1k

    Thanks curtis

hi does anybody know how much roughly not going to hold anyone to this

How much it is to get a debt judgment in default in Ireland if no response from the debtor (high court amount)

and if the debtor has to pay legal costs does she also have to pay a percent of judgment amount in commission to debt collection firm (I seen online can be up to 40 percent)

Or is it just debt judgment amount plus interest and legal costs and judgment interest

Thanks guys hope someone can help new to boards trying to help my bestie out

    curt

Talk to a solicitor rather than look for opinions here.

Hi everyone hope this is correct section

if an instalment order is made to enforce a debt judgment,

When reasonable living expenses are allowed does that include mortgage payments?

Could they tell me my mortgage payments are too expensive? And not leave enough to pay it

Nobody here can help you I suspect. Your query is too vague.

I'd be inclined to contact the courts directly and see what they say. It sounds like this issue has been left a long time, and that a bit of work is now needed to resolve it.

You may need to instruct a solicitor.

As @Henry Ford III said this is too vague to give any kind of useful answer….

I'd suggest you advise your friend to get a report from the CCR (https://www.centralcreditregister.ie/) and see what has actually been reported to them. Then based on that consult a solicitor to see what the next steps should be.

As an aside, if the debt has been reported to the CCR, then the only way it will be removed is if the reporting institution acknowledges that the debt has been settled in full (not just written of in the accounting records).
