    Hello There,

a couple of years ago I brought back from a Japanese shop in Boston a big bag of Sencha green tea. It is like something I never tasted before and I like it a lot. Bag is coming to its end and I'm trying to source something similar locally or online even but so far no joy. Just the usual fare and sencha that looks different and tastes different and is simply not like this.

It is what looks like almost whole tea leaves dried and curled up into little balls. Once it's brewed it turns into what looks like almost whole leaves and increases in volume by quite a bit. It has a somewhat musky almost sweet smell and taste is accordingly.

You could try a gunpowder green tea. Any Asian shop should have it.
