in regard to the small gas canisters used with a simple gas stove like below, I see there are 2 types of gas canister - one you can screw in and then another one you kinda press in

which gas canister is best or does it matter?

The puncture canister can't be removed (without venting all the gas) once fitted. The threaded ones can, handier and safer for transporting/packing in your backpack. Camping Gaz also have a twist fit system, never used it

ive used the cheaper push in systems, lidl job, they do the job but ive since moved onto a jetboil minimo screw in system, spend the money, you re better off, canisters are widely available, even in outer Timbuktu, unsure if they have lidls though, although a very well traveled friend has assured me, gas really isnt available everywhere, so he opted for a duel fuel jetboil, gas and petrol, stating, petrol truly is available in outer Timbuktu

thanks. Are you saying once you put the stove on to the puncture canisters……that it has to be essentially left on until the canister runs out?

Piggybacking on this thread. Going camping tomorrow and got one of the cheap camping stoves from Lidl. Trying to find the right gas cartridge for it. Description says it takes "type 200" cartridges "marked butane".

    Description on the stove itself

    Is this suitable?

We're only going for a couple of days and just want an easy way to make a cup of coffee in the mornings.

Edit: I see the above from Screwfix is out of stock.

Edit 2: From my reading, would a Campingaz c206 work?

    Thanks in advance!
