So i setup an xbox seriesX beside im gaming PC setup connected via ethernet to the modem just like my PC.

Ive tried cat5 and cat5e but im still locked solid to 100MB speeds while my PC is hitting close to 1GB constantly.

Is it a case of needing a cat6 cable?

Just fyi im on Digiweb 1GB connection with their fritzbox router which as i mentioned is always a rock solid connection of close to 1GB constantly.

Maybe someone on here has ran into a similar issue?

From searching the issue on reddit it looks like a common problem where a Cat6 cable fixed the issue for almost everyone.

There is a an eco / green mode in the network settings of the frtizbox, which could lock you to 100 mb.

Yeah i checked that and all 4 ports are set to power mode 1GB.

Its odd because cat5e should take 1GB, i dont want to head out looking for a cat6 if its not the issue.

    Thanks guys.

5e should be able to do 1 gb. Can you swap the connection from the PC to the Xbox to confirm that it's not the Xbox at fault?
