I am about to buy a new tablet for use primarily when travelling, email, browsing and watching (streaming) video on WiFi, nothing work related.

    The short list

    Lenovo M11 4g ram +128g rom €145

    Galaxy A9+ 4g ram x 64g rom €190

Fire tablet 11 3g ram + 64g rom (about €150, price keeps changing)

    Xiaomi pad SE 4g ram + 64g rom €129

Any views on these or alternatives. Is it worth going up to a SIM lte/5g version?

    Thanks

I have the A9+ that I use as a home assistant dashboard. It is light but feels very cheap and plasticy compared to other samsung devices I've used. It also is a little less responsive than I'd like - it has a high refresh display but often feels like it's struggling to be smooth. Fine for what I need it to do though and probably for you too.

Can't speak on or compare with the others as I've not used them.

Have a look at Doogee tablets on Amazon, battery size, ram and storage are important , many will accept a SIM card and have 2k or more display.
