We were planing to move to bray as our friends stay there and found a couple of options in Woodbrook and one near lidl. We went to view the places during late night just to get the feel of how safe it is and turns out it gets really shady at night.

The smell of weed is in the air there is more weed than oxygen but do feck all about the kids standing on corners acting mad.

Heard some anti social incidents too!

Really not sure what the point is of this post. Are you making statements or asking advice?

"The smell of weed is in the air there is more weed than oxygen" Seriously what BS is this?

"kids standing on corners acting mad." Is that what teenagers do?

    Also what time of night?

I wouldn't regard Lidl area as dodgy or unsafe but anecdotes of people smoke hash or anti social incidents does not mean a place is bad or dangerous to live in. Thousands of people live in the area perfectly safely. There's schools, shops pub etc.

Just reads as anti-Bray post without much to back it up.

Having grown up in Bray I never really considered that Woodbrook area 'Bray', it's more the very edge miles away from the town in that middle ground between Bray and Shankill.

Saying that, it's perfectly safe and fine. Is just suburbia, you'll get annoying teenagers and the likes anywhere suburban.

Woodbrook is absolutely fine, nice area. The LIDL down the road closer to Bray town though is a sh1t show. I had kids on camera throwing bricks at a local family doing shopping because they were an easy target. It continuously has trouble around the LIDL, absolute scum of the earth. The antisocial behaviour around LIDL has caused loads in the area to actually go all the way to the Boghall road for ALDI or LIDL

The smell of weed could actually be one of the plants that grows in the ditch there as well, which used to catch me out when cycling to work.

that's mad - never ever experienced anything negative going there.

Go on to the Bray Open Forum FB to find examples. A friend of mine right beside now shops on the Boghall road. I moved away awhile ago but the last time I went there the teens were throwing rocks at a guy doing the shopping with his daughter and laughing at them as they had to take shelter (would have killed him if they hit, absolute scrotes). Maybe its improved in the last 2 years but it was sketchy for a long time around LIDL. Literally only the LIDL though, once you move 100m away there were no issues, wouldn't have put me off buying a house and certainly had no affect on Woodbrook.

I see well never experienced personally and am on BoF and I'm there two years - never seen anything bad or dodge around little bray and go to that lidl at least twice a week.

back on topic would have no effect on Woodbrook in Shankill

100%, maybe they finally sorted it out, also, it could easily be missed, I went to that LIL loads of times without incidence and until I seen it I thought BOF was over exaggerating and a bunch of people hating on kids hanging out.

As you said though, doesn't affect where the OP is talking about buying.
