I have a P J Mene which I believe to be a reproduction. It was bought in an antique shop over 20 years ago for £250. It is a figure of a hunting dog with a bird in its mouth. It's been sitting on a unit since then and unsure as how much to expect for it. It appears to be bronze/brass effect, and it stands on a bronze/brass base with a weight of just over 2.9stone and approx 19" high by 26 " wide

While it looks like dark bronze there are a number of white chalk type markings on some parts, looks like plaster while other parts like tail, head etc seem solid and very defined. Would anyone know if plaster was used in reproductions that would help me work out what year it may be. It has PJ Mene written on the brass base that is mounted onto wood but given what was paid for it I think this is questionable. It may not even be worth what was paid for it but don't want to mis-price while putting it up for sale, thanks in advance.
