There’s a hdmi modded n64 on their site. Could an educated person please give an opinion on whether this would be a good purchase to operate on a 720p Panasonic viera from 2009? Here’s the link. Any help/advice is appreciated.

My only concern is if it's a PAL console. Not worth it of it's is. If it's a region free NTSC model then it's probably good.

Do you intend to have a few consoles hooked up or is it a one and done with the n64?

If you want a few it might be cheaper to invest in a Retrotink 5x for about a third more of the price but then all your scart consoles can go to HDMI.

Just n64. I wonder would the standard composite cable be any way decent before I can get the funds for a more expensive upgrade on picture quality.

If the TV has S-video I would just use that with a regular N64. Huge improvement on composite and not far off RGB or HDMI mods. There are comparison videos on YouTube, worth a look.

Also, the OSSC is far cheaper than retrotink but does need a bit of setting up in the menu

The OSSC won't work with a stock N64 as it doesn't support composite or S-Video so just watch out there.

Yes, my tv supports s video via scart. Any recommendations on where to get the s video scart?
