Son is in Junior Cert. He is neurodiverse and school has never been his best buddy.

He is insisting that he wants out after this year.

Have liaised with school and they said Transition Year and Leaving Cert Applied are made for him.

If nothing else it would give him that extra year to mature and think about what they want to do.

But so far he’s not for turning.

We are also looking into YouthReach as an option. But have heard varying reviews on it.

Maybe we’re getting too anxious and he might just go into TY when it comes to it anyway.
