I fancied buying myself a new gadget so I went for the V8 Finder2 from Amazon.

    Any of ye use one?

Does it come with values for 28.2 preset?

I like the fact you can watch your chosen channel on the meter's screen.

I used one but for motorised dishes. Its overkill for 28east. And it will have 28east.

I have one, paid £35 or so from Aliexpress a year or so ago. There is a predetermined satellite & transponder list but this may be out of date by the time you receive the device. For dish alignment, you can get away with just having two transponders for 28E - one that is on the UK/Ireland spot beam e.g. BBC channels, and another that's on the 2G European beam e.g. CNN, the former will have the strongest signals while the latter will have the weakest at that location and should let you fine tune things until you're spot-on with the dish alignment, skew etc.

But as @swoofer says, it's a bit of overkill for just aligning at 28E, especially for the prices it's going on amazon.co.uk, unless you're doing multiple installs for work etc. and not just a once-off.

The guy that installed my Unicable II LNB and new dish had one.

Pretty cool that you can tune and view channels on it. I immediately wanted one , just jealousy/envy you understand , I have no general use for it , but still wanted one nevertheless.

Didnt get one in the end , it would probably end up unused in a drawer somewhere. Just like the 10 quid LED one I got from Freetv.ie. Once the job is done you wouldnt need it again.
