Is adding links to source and back up your posts a improvement or a potential hindrance to getting on on the boards?

Is posting twitter links and unfurling them so they appeal in full and a way to make easier for people to read them, or again

a potential hindrance to getting on on the boards?

If I can jump in here, you're asking this because I deleted a number of posts of yours from within the Politics forum: two of which contained one sentence (which is against the Politics forum charter). The other contained two tweets with no discussion which also is against the Politics charter.
I should also add that I left two (I think) other posts in place that possibly fall short of the expected standard but were given the benefit of the doubt.

Your question above would suggest that the content you posted was all in one post - it was not, it was in multiple posts.

The Politics forum holds a higher standard of posting than most forums on boards.ie given its post.
As per my PM, please see the POLITICS CHARTER AND GUIDELINES for details on the rules!

There was discussion in that post, (again yes one line but it was there) maybe you didn't see it?

I was trying to generalise, in order not to get into a dispute with you, its seems my posts would have gone unremarked but only because there were twitter links in them.

This is a discussion site. Posting links is not discussion. Links should back up your point, not make your point for you.

    Second thread on this.

It's really, really obvious. You're expected to put in a bit of effort instead of just pasting a link with a snarky comment. There's not much more to explain. Some forums are more tightly moderated than others but it's bad practice in general. If I wanted a dumping ground for links, I have Reddit and other places for that.
