hello my dad has been suffering from a Covid and it has been 3 months since he last got his Widowers pension in his post office, does this payment get stopped if there is no collection in the post office for a period of time , or is the money there every Friday?

Would only be stopped in case of death cert of suspected fraud.
does he have a bank account that it could be paid into, once he signs the paperwork
