Climote - what could possibly go wrong?

Long story short, I have a Climote that controls 3 separate zones - living room, bedroom and hot water.

A few weeks ago, the living room radiators stopped working. When I turn on the living room switch on Climote, I can see the switch turns on, but the boiler makes some small noises for a few seconds but doesn’t activate. I recorded a short video here:

However, if I turn both the living room and the bedroom switches on together, it will heat both zones correctly.

I had a plumber in the other day. They serviced the boiler and replaced the switch for the living room as a precaution. However, it doesn’t seem to fix the problem. Turning on the living room section alone will still make the noise but not heat the radiators, but turning on both living room and bedroom will heat both.

Any idea what could possibly go wrong?

Is th switch that was replaced the motorised valve for the living room zone or the thermostat relay?

It's possible you have an issue with the motorised valve, usually located in hot press or beside hot water tank. Typically there is an LED that comes on when the thermostat calls for heat & powers valve to open & then call for heat from boiler.

It’s the motorised valve for the living room that has been replaced, although I don’t believe it is the problem. I checked the valve for both living room and bedroom, and they both are working fine (the LED lit up when I turn them on, and I can hear the tiny mechanical gear sound inside the valve).
