Just wondering if I should look to make a slight upgrade to my PC

I've bought all the parts for a new build. 9800X3D & 7900XT are what it was built around

I have a new in the box Sapphire Pulse 7900XT unopened I bought for 730. Someone is selling a used since June 24 AsRock Phantom Gaming 7900 XTX for 880 but is interested in a swap plus cash. Is it worth making the move if so how much are you willing to spend on the difference?

I know the Sapphire cards are usually better quality

If it wasn't a couple of months to go I'd have said wait for the 9070xt numbers and price to come out :(

The advantages of the 7900xtx over 7900xt go up with resolution, say 3.5% 1080p, 7.5% 1440p and 17% 4k (those are toms hardware based numbers, ymmv but it paints a picture). So scaling those to your 730 price that's 25 euro at 1080p and 125 at 4k.

The thing is though you aren't comparing new with new, you are comparing new with used and that's pretty much a personal weighting. Myself? If the used card was my (nice) sibling's or BFF's or similar where I could have 100% trust in what I was being told and there was nothing I heard to bother me I'd probably be willing to throw some cash with a swap but to a stranger in this scenario? I'd have my suspicions their card has horrible coil whine or something else odd going on and don't think I'd even do a straight swap let alone pay to take a used card, probably even if it was only a week old let alone with over half a year gone off the warranty.

Given a new xtx is 950 or maybe less (I didn't hunt) I'd personally want it to be down close to that 730 price before I'd start to consider it and even then I'd personally be pretty averse to risking that much money on buying a used card from a private seller.

wait for 9070xt specs/reviews would be my advice, likely close to the xtx id imagine

And supposedly better Ray Tracing if that's your thing than the 7000 series.

Even some retailer in Bulgaria has them in stock it seems. Microcenter in the US has shelves of them by all accounts. Stock doesn't seem to be an issue this time.

But yeah, price and performace is completely up in the air. I pause at doing a straight Lev to Dollar exchange and take that as the supposed price for the US or Western European markets. Could be valid but I'd not bet my mortgage on it. Then again, AMD will AMD.
