Looking for freesat combo with remote web UI

The mother has a 42" Toshiba TV bought in Lidl about 5 years ago with sat connection thats giving issues, some channels will stop working and a hard restart will usually fix this, but if that isn't the issue its the need to constantly retune channels, I think this is since its not an official freesat TV.

I've seen boxes that support openvix that can update channels automatically but afraid of getting another box that ends up being more complicated for her.

Can anyone recommend a box that allows full remote access web/ssh access so I can fix issues as they come up and brings together FTA sat and saorview in one easy to use UI?

Also I see a lot of these boxes support wifi using a usb adapter, does any usb wifi adapter generally work?

The most recent big changes which made retuning necessary are now complete. For the main channels, BBC etc. Depending on what she watches, that TV might not need any more retuning. The RXTV site is good to keep an eye on changes.

I still think the simplest setup is Soarview on the tv tuner and a Freesat box for the UK channels.

Setup them once and you're done. 7 day EPG on both. Switching from the tv tuner to HDMI1 is not a big deal.

By the way the satellite channel issue may not be tv related but a cable/lnb/dish issue.
