i found an old phone say phone X. i took the sdcard out and put it into my new phone say phone Y . i removed the 32gig sdcard .sdcard 1 .

i put in the old sdcard ,it works fine, 30 gig of youtube videos, and mp3 files . i tried it in both phones it works fine

ed device storage 30gig 2 gig free . sdcard .

so now i put sdcard one it has 15 gig of mp3 files, podcasts into my new phone.

    it says phone storage x..

eg theres no sdcard detected .

i put this sdcard into both phones .. its not detected .

i was using this sdcard for 2 years since i removed it it has not worked .

i put it into my sdcard reader and plugged it into my pc.

    sdcard is not detected .

the reader shows up in control panel, drive e: on my windows pc.

i,d just like to recover the mp3 files from the sdcard.

should i use recuva or some other program to do this .

how would i physically clean the card .

    Any advice would be welcome

I see on youtube it recommends to clean the sdcard with toothpaste or isopropyl alcohol and dry with clean cloth

Use a cotton bud and a small amount of alcohol on the contacts only.

Inspect the contacts first with magnifying glass to see the surfaces. I'd stay away from toothpaste for the moment.

Also, inspect the card slot for fluff etc. that might be preventing contact.

Have you inspected/cleaned the contacts on the card itself yet?
