Spray insulation and attic conversion

Before I start exploring the possibility I'm wondering has anyone converted their attic after spray insulation has been put into rafters. Will it cause issues. The spray insulation was done before we moved in. It's messy enough and comes down a bit below the rafters. Would it have to be removed altogether. Thanks
