    Hi,

Is anyone else experiencing delays with An Post? I have a package that has been sitting in Naas since Tuesday and has not moved. Usually it's a day or two max for any domestic delivery for me.

Could be missorted and delayed that way. Would it be held up for customs check?

Customs wouldn't be an issue as it is a domestic post.

Yes - in South Dublin we've lost our postman the past 2 weeks. Apparently there's been some restructuring which has led to a shortfall in postmen.

So yeah no post at all for 2 weeks - blaming weather/holyhead but it's nothing to do with that, it's an internal issue.

Same here, also in Dublin. I was waiting for a letter which was posted from Dublin on 8th January and it just arrived this afternoon.

South dublin here also, they told me they were slammed for staffing at the moment in my local delivery depot. Hopefully short term problem, I find an post brilliant overall and they are one of the few package delivery people who don't just dump packages on your doorstep for anyone to steal.

My package has finally moved. Gone from Naas to Dublin. Final delivery is to Mullingar.

In December I had three separate deliveries for myself and one for a neighbour dumped outside my door by a rogue An Post driver (I've discussed it in another thread).

I'm just hoping it was a temp brought in for Christmas before I complain. I've two parcels coming next week so I'll see what happens.

Yes, amazon parcel, sitting in park west for 2 days.

It'll be there for longer now. Depots and post offices will be closing with the red warning in place.

Also have some experience, small packages Kerry to Cork took Monday to following Monday, waiting for 3 eBay small packages. location for all - Ireland. Today Thursday, nothing . One of the eBay sellers I know and was always a 1 day turnaround 🤕

Definitely not what I'm used to🥴

    🧐IMHO, God wants us all to ENJOY many,many ice-creams , 🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦

I sent a parcel from Cork to Wicklow last week. 4 days Cork to Portlaoise, 2 days from Portlaoise to Wicklow. Supposed to be a next day service.

Be thankful you're not in the area where 30,000 items of mail went 'missing' before Christmas.

I've noticed I can get a few items on a Monday or Tuesday and nothing the rest of the week. Maybe they're consolidating deliveries..

Last time I spoke to the local PO sorting office, they told me that they were short of postmen. Very obvious that we get parcels every day, but letters are probably once or twice a week. This is probably to keep Amazon and their shopping partners happy.

I have something sitting in the d12 sorting office for 10 days now, AnPost WhatsApp chat saying internal scan says it's due to move to the d6w since last Wednesday, probably be next Wednesday before I see it at this stage
