I usually just use Ryanair or Aerlingus to find the better combo for times and price. I have flown out with one and come back with the other.

When we booked Tenerife two years ago Budget Travel were cheapest by a long way

In our experience there is up to €1k to be saved shopping around

Salou last year was much cheaper with TUI

Loveholidays, TUI, Budget & new option to the market for this summer OnTheBeach are all worth a look

I'm not sure there's much difference between the various operators, given that the price for a stay between certain dates in any given hotel or resort will be much the same with operator A as with operator B, give or take a small few quid. That's because they all rely on the same Aer Lingus/Ryanair flights to get you there and back in the first place.

Something like Budget Travel might give you a greater choice of cheaper accommodation options all right, but then you're not really comparing like with like.

Where you could really save is on flights, if you're flexible with dates. As stated above, Feb 16th is school mid-term. Going out that day with Aer Lingus and coming back the following Sunday (23rd) is currently showing as €459 per person with the Aer Lingus 'Saver' fare.

However, if you're not tied to school dates and can wait a week instead, going out on Feb 23rd and back on Sunday March 1st would be just €175 per person. Take an extra day off and fly back on Monday March 2nd instead, and the fare drops to just €152.

Can you travel from Belfast? If so then it opens up a WHOLE new world of options (Jet2, Easyjet)

We go from Belfast now purely due to more options, booked 10 nights Half Board for 2 adults and 2 kids in GF Isabel (Adeje), cost 3,400stg with Jet2 but 2,500 with easyjet. This is for next year though as already booked for this year and like to book early to get free kids places
