I've set up a small business and am the sole employee of the company.

I intend to pay myself a regular monthly salary once the turnover warrants it.

My question is regarding PRSI as I want to make sure I have enough contributions for a pension later on.

Can I pay PRSI and USC every month but leave my salary in the company and take it at a later date? Or would it be better to take a more manageable salary and take this every month. Basically can I make a monthly prsi payment without paying myself in that period.

    John
