I bought a sander one time in lidl and it was useless so I haven't bought anything there since. I'm aware that's probably not a fair reflection of the range but if I need something cheap and cheerful to get me out of a bind now I go with Screwfix own brand titan.

I have a couple of Parkside things that are still going strong after 5+ years (pressure washer, 4 in 1 garden thingy and a wood chipper)
The chipper gets particular abuse and is still going great guns, often running for an entire day or 2 without a break.

Its just personal preference. I prefer the Parkside had some crappy tools from Aldi but managed to avoid any bad ones from Lidl.

Wake me up when it's all over.
