Debating putting a moderator on a 22lr i have, 2 years more to the renewal of the licence. Can i get my licence updated to have an S without filling in 9 pages of forms? Ie simply talk to the firearms officer? Is there an update to licence form i can use? Just wondering has anyone here done it?

If your FO is decent he might do it over the phone and send it out to you. I'm in kildare and forgot to put a moderator question in with my 6.5, I rang him and explained I forgot, He re issued it for me with no need for new paperwork

I phoned the local FO to ask this very question regarding my .308. It was done over the phone, and I got the amount of ammo permitted changed too. All in all it took about 5 minutes.
