    Hi all

My dad has been using Duo 2 for a number of years but today it won't turn on.

Nothing on the screen and no lights come on.

I've read of other issues where only the red light comes on but I'm getting nothing.

Ideally I'd like to get it fixed but no idea what it could be.

Anyone with some insight into the issue or what I could check ?

You need to check the fuse in the plug. Have you another power lead? Have you any usb sticks connected? Has it got a HDD installed? Have you checked the rocker switch at rear and make sure power lead is pushed in firmly. Disconnect the HDD.

Need to be sure the power lead is working, they do fail. And check the socket. Its a pain but you want it back.

NB you need to check capacitors on PSU and if they are bulging they will need replacing. A tv repair shop would be able to help.

You may be able to buy an original PSU but about 70 euro plus postage.

I've checked it on 2 different plugs and it seems to be working.

When I plug it in ,I can hear a hum from it so thinks it's getting power.

    No HDD or USB connected.

I'll bring it to a repair shop this week.
