Form 12

Hi all, I sold some shares last year and paid the CGT at the time for them. I was under the impression I had to complete a Form 12 after the 1st of Jan this year for that tax I paid last year.

I can't for the life of me find the form on the revenue website, where is it? I was under the impression it could be completed online?

Assuming you are PAYE only. It a form CG1 you file for the tax year 2024 in relation to capital gains for 2024. The CG1 for 2024 isn't available yet. You have untill 31/10/25 to file your 2024 CGT return.

The form 12 you referred to is the annual income tax return for PAYE taxpayers that you file via your Revenue myaccount when you carry out your end of year reviews. There is no part of the online form 12 where you can enter any CGT related activity.
