running on octo lnb on 28.2 east . 3 in use atm

one running a manhaatan sx freesat box - from time to time drops signal - to get it back working at times if i activate another connected connected to a tv in another part of the house - then the signal picks back up - the connections/ coax are a few years old . im just wondering would be the likely cause and the best fix ?

i suspect a power issue but not sure how best to easily fix it ?

The quickest would be to move the cable to another port on the LNB.

Also check the box on a known good output ie one of the other working sat points.

If the problem moves with to the new port on the LNB it could mean a box or cable issue.

If the problem moves to the known good output it could be a power supply issue with the box.

Also can't rule out an intermittently faulty LNB.

    thanks .

it may be a cable issue . its joined in a non standard way i think as it was further away.

will have to have a look at the lnb sometime soon . when better able - it had stopped dropping for a while and now started back again
