what type of shower do I need to get here folks?

I’ve got power and what I presume is a hot and cold feed.

Not sure of purpose of the power cable as it looks far too light gauge for an electric shower. An electric shower would typically only have a cold water feed direct from the storage tank in the attic also. What was there previously as the tiles/grout look new.

Most mixer taps for a pumped shower are on 150mm centres so a little restricted on the type you can install. Have a look through different mixer units to see what best suits.

hi thanks for your reply. It was this way when we moved into the house a few years ago. I’m only getting around to doing something with it now as this is an en suite to a bedroom that we haven’t previously used. I’m unsure what the original intention was. I was hoping someone would be able to tell me what power shower to buy but it looks like it’s not that straightforward?

A power shower is suitable for this setup. Either a Triton novel SR silent running thermostatic power shower or Mira vigour thermostatic power shower

most likely a power shower, electrical cable isn't large enough to power a heated shower

Yep, looks like the setup for something like an Aqualisa pumped shower to me alright.

Novel SR is quite good, you would need to check which is the Hot/Cold feed, as they might need to be flipped by who ever installs the shower.
