Dimmable light function in non-dimmable socket

Hi, this may be impossible, or simple to achieve…I have no idea.

Is there any way to have a dimmable light source from a non-dimmable bulb socket? I want a light for the living room that's both typically bright for when that's needed, but can be adjsuted (dimmed) for when I want to do that.

What I'm thinking of is a light bulb that is put into the socket (using the socket as a source of power) but then can have brightness adjusted by a remote control?

Does such a thing exist? Or some other way of achieving the same outcome using the main bulb socket in the living room ?
