Rot at door on engineered floor

There is a slight amount of rot on the floor adjacent to our pvc door. I can smell it sometimes. The door itself is elevated with respect to the footpath and I don’t ever see water lying there. How would you recommend I seal this effectively?

Coming under the threshold is the likely cause, there should really be a door threshold with runoff, but it gets left off to keep the threshold low.

No easy solution here other than to apply silicon sealant, but that's usually a temporary fix due to differential movement in the frame and concrete.

Use acrylic frame sealant at the base of the door frame where it meets the concrete.

That's what I should have said. Can be hard to get though, but a better option over silicon.

It's available in every screwfix and likely hardware in the country. Silicone isn't suitable for this purpose

Yes, obviously use a product which states for external use. Most acrylic sealants are for both as they are mostly used around windows and doors.
