It's made to think we've 25 years of the 2000's almost done. Been born in the early 1990's I remember most of it.

In Coronation Street I remember Sarah giving having Bethany but I don't think I wasn't phased by her age and when Emma shot Linda's brother in the Freshco's Siege(I thought Fred, Ashley, etc all were having great fun.) I also remember Alma dying which was a sad episode.

One of my high lights was the Richard Hillman story I remember been obsessed with it.

Then I remember The Connor arriving and Leanne been an Escort. I liked Liam at the time.

Tram Crash was fine along with John Stape.

Also enjoyed the Pat Whelan story. Remember

Aidan's death was also done excellently.

    I watched Eastenders occasionally.

Jamie Mitchell dying on Christmas Day.

Enjoyed The Branning's, Max/Bradley and Stacey and who killed Archie.

    Emmerdale

Mena was one of my Highlights, Ashley story was also very moving.

I think Holly's death was very moving. I've only really got proper into Eastenders in the past few years.

Home and Away was mainly a teenage thing for me.

    Loved the Stalker story.

In Fair City we had Billy Meehan and Lucy caused a bit of havoc also.

    What did you enjoy?

No a huge fan of soaps by the end of the 2000s Home and Away seemed to grow up and not focus as much on Teen storylines?

We should mention the culling of soaps through out the 2000s

RIP Glenroe, The Bill, Heartbeat, Family Affairs… Neighbours

but also the vast amount of UK soaps that appeared

Doctors, Crossroads, Heartbeat Today, Holby City, Holby Blue, Casualty 1900s.

And not to forget Ireland's first new Soap in 25 years … Red Rock

Coronation Street - Mainly anything with the Platt's was entertaining particularly teenage David.

EastEnders - Janine killing Barry, Laura falling down the stairs, Danielle being hit by car. I could do without the Slaters and the likes of Alfie who were big at the time.

Neighbours - Toadie driving off cliff, plane crash, Karl and Izzy affair. The late 2000s weren't that bad either, what sticks in my head from then is Ringo's eating disorder and Zeke falling off a canoe.

Home & Away - I watched it in the early 2000s, I was never big into it but i remember my older sister watched it so it was on in the house. I stopped in 2004 and then started again in 2007/8. My favourite character at that time was Geoff Campbell. The Aden storyline sticks out from 2009 about him being abused. I thought he was a very good actor, I am surprised he never became more famous, he was better than Chris Hemsworth. I never would have thought Margot Robbie would become big either but I suppose her looks helped with that.

Todd Lasance who played Aden is still doing well in Australia in shows and had a stint in America

I think the Billy Meehan storyline in Fair City was just superb, never topped it again, no other villains even came close

Holly's death is Emmerdale was do well done as no spoilers were released so it was shocking, the raw pure emotion
