    Hi all,

I've a fairly new Intel X86 Win 11 Lenovo Laptop which I've set the Screen, Sleep and Hibernate timeout settings as follows:-

    image.png

Despite this the laptop never turns the screen off (regardless of whether on battery or plugged in) and never goes to sleep if on battery power.

I tried searching for other settings which might conflict or take priority somehow but didn't find anything and I've tried powering on and off etc but still no luck.

Am I missing something obvious or doing something really stupid?

    Cheers

First thing first : "when your device is idle". This mean you(or anything) not acting on it - leave the room for specified period+

read about powercfg command, in particular /requests and /lastwake

See if it helps to pin-point

IIRC network adapters can be configured in such a way as to prevent sleep - check in device manager on those and see if there are power options.
