on Friday evening I was eating a small piece of chocolate when I realised a piece of a tooth had broken off. There was no pain and and I didn’t feel it happening - I was just suddenly chewing it. I hoping I can get an appointment with my dentist but but in the meantime I bought a Dentek Temparin Max because there is a very sharp point on the remaining tooth that is cutting into my tongue.

However the the dental cement wont stay in place. I applied it and when to sleep for a few hours and it seemed to have hardened but then it came out with the first bite of my dinner.

Can anyone suggest a different way to cover the sharp piece.

Maybe see if you can get some kind of gum shield in the pharmacy today.

That is a great idea but unfortunately the local chemist and any others I could get to are all closed on Sundays.

I will buy one tomorrow though if the dentist doesn’t give me an appointment - which is probably what will happen.
