    Have 09 auto 177hp n47

Got a remap and all was grand....until it went into limp mode...i checked for codes and its turbo actuator malfunction.... Went back to remap they flashed back stock but the code is there... No more limp mode at all...

Now question.... Anybody kind knows if its possible to replace the actuator only? Some says that it will calibrate itself some says it can not be replaced....

    Does anyone know? Please....

Ps: car is not down on power on anything just throwing the turbo actuator code fault...without obd reader i wouldn't notice anything

    Code is 449A

Try a turbo actuator calibration with the diagnostics (your diagnostic might not be capable depending what model it is)

Not possible...you wouldn't know it if can be replaced on its own?

What do you mean by not possible? I have done many adjustments using ista and similar.

You can replace the actuator no problem but you will need to do this adjustment afterwards anyway, when the car was flashed it lost its adjustment setting for the actuator, that's why it didn't fix it when the old map was out back on

Oh so it may need only adjustment instead of replacement is it what you saying?

    Thank you

Not possible - i mean i dont have tools to do so...have just obd 2 reader and eraser...not the cheapest but doesnt seems to have such an option...to adjust....or the knowledge...maybe you can advise please how to adjust it

I have vgate icar pro...i believe it can work with bimmercode...if thats any help

You need to get the car on proper diagnostics (a high end launch, autel, thinktool) or else on the BMW software and do an actuator calibration

So finally changed turbo....as the vanes on old were sticking.... But guess what 449A turbo actuator fault still present....the actuator works but the fault is still live.... I have now ista+ and dcan kable....but cant find any settings for actuator a part of fault being there....car works normal....no limp mode or anything...just the bleeding 449A
