    Hi Lads

Young lad is getting a basic gaming PC for Xmas and looking to get into PC gaming. He's keen on his PS5 and Quest 3 but he doesn't have much PC gaming experience.

I'll likely need to get him up and running, Where does a man start? Do I just download Stream or something like that? Can I just purchase Fortnite/COD ect and he plays that online?

Once I get the basics up and running we'll be fine but I just have visions of frustration on Christmas day and want to be somewhat prepared.

Tnsk in advance for any advice.

Just make sure windows and your GPU are updated and you should be fine. Get steam for buying new games and the epic store, they give free games every Thursday and you can get Fortnite from the epic store (Fortnite is also free, you don't have to buy it).

You're PC specs are fairly weak so don't expect cutting edge graphics from games. You'll probably get slightly better than PS4 graphics out of it so best to curb expectations.

You don't say how young, but Steam supports parental controls, which you may want to look into.
