Query on my Epson TW7100

    Hi guys,

    I bought this projector from you a couple of years ago and seem to have a challenge getting it to display UHD images when using it through my receiver. Example, if i plug the Sky box directly into the projector, it will give me the full UHD image but wont if i send through the amp.

    The amp in question is a Yamaha RX -A840 and is 4k capable. I have looked at every setting possible on the amp to make sure there is no restriction on the settings and there doesn't seem to be. The only thing is that its HDMI is 2.0 rather than 2.1 but i wouldn't imagine its that?

    Hi Steekers.

    Have you updated your Yamaha to the latest firmware version?
    It does say it should do 4K at 60Hz. You only require HDMI 2.1 for 4K at 120Hz so the 2.0 shouldn't be the issue.

    What type of HDMI cables is it that you are using? Have you tried a different HDMI cable for connecting things up, just in case one of your cables is not 4K compatible.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Hi Kenny,

    After some more investigation the receiver doesn’t support HDCP 2.2 It came out in 2014 and the newer version than came out in 2015 does!

    So, new amp needed.. Denon 2800??

    Hi Kenny,

    After a bit more research i am thinking about pushing the boat out for the Sony TA-AN1000. I have a Jamo D6 7.1 set up and feel that this would power them better?

    What are your thoughts?

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor.
