Certain Saorview Channels with 0% SNR

Hi lads. Bit of an unusual one. My Saorview transmitter is Mount Leinster and for the past couple of days I'm getting no signal at all from the channels on the 490.0 Mhz band - 0% SNR - but the ones on 514.0 Mhz are all coming in at 100% SNR. Sometimes during the day I'll get reception where the SNR will be about 9% to 15% on the 490.0 Mhz band then later they all go back to 0%. The 514.0 MHz channels always remain perfect. I'm at a loss. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

There's a mention of maintenance possibly causing problems, but supposed to be 28th Nov. only.

What kind of aerial setup do you have?

The aerial is on the roof. I actually had it replaced a few months ago. Today I'm getting 45% SNR but that's liable to drop off to 0 again tonight.

Well, assuming Mt. L. is operating as normal, then I suppose you can only check things at your own end, like connections, water ingress to cables & such. I'd take a look up at the aerial too, & even for something like wind damage to trees in the signal path, that could have odd effects.

I'll see if it miraculously comes back to normal over the next couple of days and then call my local aerial guy if it doesn't. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Would you have any signal from Kippure? Or any of the low power relays? Although I think with Mount Leinster being Horizontal, it would need to be a Horizontal transmitter. If your aerial is correct.

I'm not sure but I don't think so. The signal is now 100% across the board so maybe there was an unreported problem with Mt Leinster.

Possibly a bad connection somewhere, and with it coming and going might be external. But as suggested check any accessible connections for security.

External I'd say alright. I have four boxes (3 x Zgemmas) and the main one (an Edision OS Mega) and they've all been suffering the same fate.

How is the signal split between the four receivers?

Issue could be there also
