Ubuntu and Secure Boot

    I have the Alfa AWUS1900 wifi adaptor. It doesn't work on Ubuntu automatically out of the box so i must install the drivers and then disable secure boot for it to run. I was wondering am I at risk running Ubuntu with secure boot disabled.
