Changing job... Self Employed vs PAYE

Hi all, I currently work on a site in Dublin earning €75k & vehicle, bonus, pension etc.

I'm really fed up driving to Dublin so was looking for work closer to home. I'm also starting to farm some land at home as my dad is soon retiring so that will take up sometime outside work.

I currently have 2 options: I have been offered a job closer to home €80k salary, vehicle etc, full time. Lots of work security going forward.

The second option is to go self employed. I would have guaranteed work at least 3 - 4 days a week with a local company. €52 per hour from I leave house until I get home. Probably 10-11 hours per day. I would have to run my own vehicle. With this option I could work 3 or 4 days a week and have the other days for farm work or other odd jobs I could do locally. I would easily get lots of other work if needed. I also have a young family so would have more flexibility for time at home.

Should I go self employed or stick with a full time paye job?

    Thanks
